But the bar in which the vice den was being run must stay closed, the Lower
Criminal Court ordered.
Police raided the bar, run as a separate business, on August 15, after being
tipped off that it was being used for prostitution.
The bar was closed immediately and the hotel a day later, after it emerged that
vice girls were picking up clients in the bar, then using the hotel rooms for
sex.
The hotel management appealed to the Lower Criminal Court for permission to
reopen and the court agreed, ordering that the police seal be removed from the
hotel door.
The bar will remain sealed, pending the trial of those arrested in the raid.
Eleven Asian waitresses were arrested for allegedly offering sex to customers.
Seven men, including the bar manager and six customers, were also arrested but
the bar owner fled the scene.
An Indian man was arrested the next day as he tried to leave the country via
Bahrain International Airport.
Police sent undercover agents into the bar, Public Prosecutor Usama Al Asfoor
revealed earlier.
"Undercover agents witnessed several women working as waitresses offering
themselves to their customers for money," he said.
Police swooped at around noon and arrested the waitresses and some of the
customers, who turned out to be staying illegally in the country, said Mr Al
Asfoor.
