Doctor held for attempted rape of patient in India

Lucknow - A doctor has been arrested for trying to play with the private parts
of a young woman who had come to his clinic for a check-up.
It is learnt that a young woman belonging to a prestigious business family of
Gorukhpur went to the doctor's clinic for ultra-sound along with her husband.
The doctor told the husband to stay out of ultra sound clinic and undressed the
woman. Then he allegedly played with her private parts. Modesty forbade the
woman to shout or shriek in protest as the doctor claimed that he was only
examining her.
Later, the husband heard the shrieks of her wife. He tried to break open the
door. After the door was broken he found his wife in a pitiable condition. She
alleged that the doctor, Salil Chandra, tried to rape her.
Salil Chandra has claimed that he is innocent and has been framed.
However, he has been arrested under section 354, 376, 511 and 506 of Indian
Penal Code for the offence of attempted rape on a lady.
