Brunei convicts Thai women for prostitution

Bangkok - The Ministry of Labour today warned Thai women not to damage the
nation's reputation, following the conviction of two Thai women for
prostitution in Brunei.
The two women, aged 25 and 17, were sentenced along with a 33 year-old Thai man
after being arrested in a hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei's capital city.
The women face sentences of six and four months respectively, while the man
will be behind bars for 18 months and receive three lashes for pimping.
