Anara kin want Delhi cops to net porn mafia

New Delhi - Even though forensic experts have given a clean chit to Anara Gupta
in the porn CD case, it has hardly made a dent in the sale of pornographic
material that claim to feature her in the Capital’s markets.
The Delhi police said they have received a written complaint from the former
Miss Jammu’s family in this regard.
"They wanted the registration of a case by the Delhi police and action against
the guilty. As it was an inter-state issue, we referred the matter to the Crime
Branch,’’ said Anita Roy, the DCP of New Delhi district.
The complainant, Sanjay Sachdeva, is Anara’s relative and a member of the
Panther’s Party. He had sent his complaint to the ACP, Parliament Street, on
January 5.
With over 50 sites and links on the Internet showing the video clip in Anara’s
name, and over 30,000 CDs sold in Jammu alone, much damage, it seems, has
already been done.
The J-K police had arrested Anara on November 9 but a forensic lab this week
certified that the girl featuring in the tape was not Anara. Now, Anara’s
family has asked the Delhi police to take legal action against Yahoo, Rediff
and Altavista, as some of the porn sites have hyperlinks to these search
engines, and they have offices in India.
The complainant has stated that the clips are available on freesexyindians.com,
a site registered by TUCOWS INC, sexgine.com, registered in the name of Xnet
2000 group Inc, USA; amateurindia.com of Digital Karma Limited; findpink.com,
registered by EAD Webmedia 3960-76th NW, Edmonton, CA; and picswapper.com,
where the photos have been posted in the ‘‘free pics’’ category.
The family has also expressed concern over the MMS being circulated that show a
12-second porn clip in the name Anara. The sale of CDs, costing Rs 600, had
also shot up. The Delhi police may not lodge a new case, as the matter is being
investigated by the J-K police, but fresh sections may be added in the case
registered in Jammu. ‘‘We will look into the complaint and see what action can
be taken,’’ a senior Crime Branch officer said here.
After goofing up in the case, the J-K police is trying to locate the boy and
girl who actually featured in the CD.
