Bhubaneswar cyber cafes raided for showing porn

Bhubaneswar police conducted simultaneous raids on 26 cyber cafes located at
different places in the city and arrested their owners and managers for
allegedly showing obscene movies. The police has also seized more than 50
computer systems containing scores of obscene movies.
Acting on information that some cyber cafes were promoting porn browsing, teams
of police officers headed by Khurda SP Amitav Thakur raided a select 26 cafes
under Capital, Kharavela, Saheed Nagar and Nayapalli police station limits and
caught several café owners red-handed, while customers, including teenage
girls were viewing porn movies.
The police said, this is not just a case of internet browsing but intentional
storing of such movies in the computer hard disk with a motive to sell porn.
