Jharkhand govt to approach CBI over website porn links

Ranchi - Taking serious note of a website registered as www.Jharkhand.Com in
America, having links to pornographic material, Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun
Munda today said his government would approach the CBI to trace the source and
its origin.
"I consider it as an international cyber crime to defame Jharkhand's name. In a
day or two, we are going to urge the CBI to get to the bottom of the crime and
find out the culprits," Munda told newsmen here.
After an accidental discovery of the site, the police found one network has got
the registration in an American city. The site has as a subject 'romance' that
lead to four links to pornographic material.
The Chief Minister said "the site is feeding ugly stuff and it is necessary to
block it at the earliest".
A wing in the Union Ministry of Communication and Information Technology is the
sole authority in taking decisions to block any website.
"As the registration has been made in Florida, we can seek help from Interpol
as well... The central government should take it seriously," Munda said.
