Jammu porn queen gets film offer

Jammu - One-film old Bollywood director Ashok Pandit ( Sheen ) has offered to
rehabilitate former Miss Jammu Anara Gupta, who has been in the news for having
acted in locally-made pornographic films.
Anara, who claimed that she was 'forced into' the porn trade, has been offered
a job in Pandit's production or in the film industry, provided she has the
talent for it.
At a recent press conference Pandit said the film industry was appalled at how
a (then) teenaged Anara was promised a break in Bollywood but was instead lured
into the flesh trade.
"I have come here all the way from Mumbai to express my shock over the manner
in which Bollywood was dragged into this sleazy affair,” he said a press
conference last weekend.
“We want to set record straight that the entertainment industry has the most
professional working culture and has proper channels for the entry of talented
boys and girls," Pandit added.
Pandit appealed to the people of Jammu to not fall prey to locals who promised
to make their children stars in Bollywood.
He announced that Bollywood was willing to rehabilitate Anara and the likes of
her. "I can take her in my production, if she is really talented," he added.
Meanwhile, the J&K High Court has pulled up the state police for the manner
in which the investigation has been conducted so far.
Division Bench Chief Justice SN Jha and Justice SK Gupta observed that "nothing
in the name of investigation was done" by the state police.
The police has also been asked to submit a report explaining how various TV
channels were given access to the victim, when she was in the protected custody
of police.
