Actor Hanan Goldblatt, who has been indicted on several counts of rape and sexual assault, yesterday admitted to having consensual sex with two of the six women who filed complaints against them, but denied any wrongdoing and said he did not have sex with the other four women.

The attorneys defending Goldblatt, 64, who is under house arrest, released a written document containing the defendant's statement.

Goldblatt has been charged with two counts of rape, two indecent acts, two of sodomy and two counts of indecent acts with abuse of authority, as well as attempted rape, attempted fraud and aggravated fraud.

The prosecution claims that in most of the cases, Goldblatt got the plaintiffs to agree to sex by extolling their acting abilities and telling them he wanted them to audition for the part in a play of a young girl seducing an older man.

Goldblatt admitted to conducting "partial sexual relations" with a complainant who was 16.5 years old at the time, with her full consent. Goldblatt said he had told her to bring clothes suitable to her role, and that he gave her one of his own shirts to wear during rehearsal.

Goldblatt also admitted to conducting "full sexual relations" on several occasions with another former student and complainant, who was 20 at the time, also with her full consent. He said he signed a contract with her according to which he would receive 40 percent of her profits from acting.
