Text of Interview
ASG:: Thanks for taking the time to speak with us at Asian Sex
Gazette.
SM: You are very welcome - thank you for giving me this opportunity!
ASG: You have a great website, with a lot of information about yourself
and of course the sexy pictures, how long has it been online now?
SM: Thank you! We launched it January 1st last year, an easy date to
remember!
ASG: We giggled at your little rant about Bill Gates and the evils of
Microsoft, we too use Linux based system which is safer. Have you ever had any
security problems with your site?
SM: Nothing major. We had the usual brute force password hacking very
early on, but since installing Pennywize that hasn't been a problem either. We
naively assumed that because our site is so honest, with very prompt customer
service, and generous with free samples - as well as the fact that we allow
non-members to see thumbnails of all our members' photos and videos - we
wouldn't need anything like Pennywize. Sadly, many people just want to take all
our hard work for nothing regardless.
ASG: We appreciate your using the web to express yourself. What do you
find most rewarding personally, modeling, dancing, singing or playing piano?
SM: I find them all very rewarding in their own way. Of course I enjoy
the compliments on my appearance, especially my body, I get through modelling,
and I enjoy the beautiful way my photographer, and webmaster, Lee presents me
in his photos. But on the other hand, I also really enjoy the direct emotional
expression and interaction with my audience I get from performance. I guess one
extra bonus with singing and piano playing is that it is usually considered
more 'respectable' than glamour modelling or belly dancing. I can sing or play
piano for my parents, but I can't strip in front of them!
ASG: We know that earlier this year you appeared in Taiwan's #1 magazine
'Scoop' and we know this has opened other opportunities for you - there was
somthing in there about 'nude yoga' that distracted us - can you tell us a bit
more about this and your current projects?
SM: That's a trade secret! Actually not really - I've had a lot of
interest from publishers in Taiwan for me to do a health and beauty book and
video, so that is my primary focus for now. Nude yoga, among other things, will
be part of that. Nude is actually the best and most comfortable way to do yoga,
as your body is completely unhindered.
In the long term, I am intending to release at least one music CD, some photo
albums and an autobiography; my life has been quite an adventure!
ASG: You have said that you personally do not participate in hardcore
pornography, what do you think personally of hardcore porn, the industry and do
you use it in your personal life?
SM: I can't say I know very much about the hardcore industry, as I have
no experience with it. I don't personally enjoy hardcore porn either, but I
really think it is important for a healthy society. Men have to release their
sperm one way or another, and if this helps them to do it without hurting
anybody else, than that's got to be a very good and healthy thing.
The only porn I've ever really been into myself [is] Japanese erotic comic
books (anime). Most of the time though I just use my imagination.
ASG: You have also made some interesting comments on prostitution, tell
us a bit more of what you think about prostitution in Asia and your current
home of Australia?
SM: Fundamentally, I feel the same way about prostitution as I do about
porn - once again, men have to release their sperm, and I if they don't have
access to prostitution they may release it in a violent way, such as rape. If
they don't release their sperm at all they will go crazy, which can lead to an
explosion of violence. I really think this is one reason religious
fundamentalists often resort to terrorism or war.
Hence, I am a very strong believer in legalised prostitution. The negative
things most people associate with prostitution, like drug addiction, I think
are mostly a result of it being illegal, and people's attitude toward it. If
prostitutes weren't made to feel ashamed of what they do, they would feel a lot
better about it, and it could be just as safe as any other job. Making it legal
means prostitutes have the same legal protection and responsibilities as
everyone else. It also makes it safer for customers, as the health and safety
aspects can be more controlled.
In Japan, people who work in the sex industry, especially nightclub hostesses,
actually have a lot of respect - sometimes I think Japanese men respect them
more than their wives! In Australia it's not quite like that, but it is
completely legal and accepted by many people as just another job. Working in a
brothel is actually one of the most popular jobs for Australian girls going
through university! I think the US would do well to follow Australia's example
- I'm sure there'd be a lot less violence as a result. Like most countries,
where I grew up in Taiwan prostitution is illegal - although it is largely
accepted, it still isn't respected.
ASG:For some reason, after reviewing your site, we have a strong desire
to ask you about masurbation and the role that it plays in your sex life. And
in a follow-up, what do you prefer: toys or au natural?
SM: Definitely au natural - I really dislike toys and such actually. I
think it kind of misses the point of sex - it is the most natural thing in the
world, where two bodies come together unimpeded by anything else. I think
artificial things like toys just get in the way. But if people enjoy that,
there's absolutely nothing wrong with it - it just isn't for me.
Regarding masturbation, I think there is a great pleasure in running away with
one's own imagination that 'real' sex cannot provide. So I enjoy both in their
own way.
ASG:We also noticed some fleeting information on your site about topical
and occasional lesbian trysts in which you like to dominate the action. We
think readers what to know more, I know we do.
SM: I'm going to have to tease you a bit here, as I'm saving these
stories for my autobiography! But I will admit I've never actually gone all the
way, they were just casual, but very exciting, encounters. Imagining what might
have happened if I did go a little further has given me a lot of material for
masturbation though...
ASG: "Sigh..."
One thing I will tell you though is that women really like me. We usually think
other women hate women with large breats, but definitely not in my case.
Indeed, many women have come right out and told me how much they love my boobs!
They also often compliment my hair and my body, as well as my clothes, or lack
thereof! Men usually try - unsuccessfully - to hide this sort of thing, but
women of all ages and races blatantly express how sexy they think I am!
ASG: Have you ever experiemented in a threesome? Would you?
SM: No I haven't, nor will I. Not that I have anything against it, but
for me sex is very much a one on one thing.
ASG: Tell us about a recent sexual experience that was especially
gratifying and why?
SM: To be honest, I've had so many interesting and exciting sexual
experiences that there isn't any particular one that stands out! What makes
them exciting though has a lot to do with the context in which they happened.
As such, they're all pretty long stories, which I will detail in my
autobiography. Once again though, a lot of the most exciting episodes are the
ones where I didn't go all the way. Hmmm, I really sound like a tease, don't I?
ASG: Yes, yes you do. What do you think about sexuality in Asia in
general? We know you have a lot of opinions about women's rights and religion
being used to repress sexual expression.
SM: As I have said, Japan is pretty progressive in its attitude toward
people who work in the sex industry in general. However, they are still very
sexually conservative in odd ways, such as the censorship of genitalia in their
media. Other Asian countries, of course, are just plain conservative. It is
interesting to note that it wasn't always this way though. During Tang's
dynasty, China was actually very sexually progressive. I don't believe it is
any coincidence that this time was also the height of China's wealth, art and
culture, and a time when they were world leaders in science. This era ended
with the ascendency of Confucianism, which actually codifies the suppression of
women and sex. I also don't believe it is any coincidence that this correlates
with a collapse of the Chinese economy, arts and science, which even now they
haven't fully recovered from.
Of course, at this time in history the west is far more sexually progressive
than the east, although we are going through something of a conservative
backlash at the moment. And of course, this backlash is being driven by right
wing conservative Christians. Once again, I don't believe it is any coincidence
that the currrent economic, scientific and cultural dominence of the west is
related to being more sexually progressive. Nor do I think it is any
coincidence that the conservative policies of the Bush administration are
seriously damaging the US economy and science. The same thing happened in the
Muslim world: when they were more sexually progressive, they dominated Europe.
But look at the state of Muslim soiciety now.
ASG: Wow. Okay, do you have any goals for the future that you are
working to achieve that you would like to tell us about?
SM: Through releasing the products I mentioned today, I hope to gain
enough of a profile to influence public opinion on the things that really
matter to me, especially sexual suppression and the negative affect it has on
society.
ASG: Well thank you very much for talking to us today. We wish you the
best of luck with your work and your upcoming projects!
