Global sex survey launched in China
October 28, 2004
Beijing - A survey, called Men's Attitudes on Life Events and Sexuality,
focusing on erectile dysfunction or ED, will be launched in China next month.
The launch in China aims to discover what percent of Chinese men suffer from ED
and other sex-related health problems, as well as examining their attitudes to
life.
The survey was initiated by pharamceutical company, Bayer, who is a co-marketer
with GlaxoSmithKline of Levitra, a drug to treat male impotence and erctile
dysfunction.
An official with the survey's organizing committee, Doctor Zhu Jichuan, of
Peking University People's Hospital, says that before the survey, known as
MALES, information on ED was limited.
China joins a number of other Asian countries in the global survey which, it is
hoped, will provide more comprehensive information on the problem.
