22-Year-Old Uzbek pretends to be 14, impregnates 11-year-old Russian girl

In May Russian tabloids posted a story about a an 11-year-old girl from Moscow
who got pregnant from her 14-year old boyfriend. Further research into this
curious case revealed that the boyfriend was actually a 22-year-old ethnic
Uzbek from Tajikistan who pretended to be 14 to prevent deportation to his home
country.
Initial reports said that the Uzbek boy who worked as a porter at a market
lived in the apartment together with the girl and her grandmother. He slept in
the same room with the girl who told the press that they had tried sex after
watching porn on TV.
Komsomolskaya Pravda daily launched an investigation into the case and revealed
that the man, whose name was earlier reported as Vlad or Pavel turned out to be
an illegal migrant from Tajikistan. He is an ethnic Uzbek and his name is
Khabibulla. He is 22 year of age, but due to his small height and light built
he identified hismself as his 14-year old brother, who remained in Tajikistan.
Khabibulla carried his younger brother’s documents and presented them to police
when the story with the girl became public.
The newspaper writes that Khabibulla often pretended to be a schoolboy to avoid
police checks and even carried a school bag during trips to the city.
According to the Russian law the age of sexual consent for both sexes 16.
Sexual relations with a person under 16 can be punished with up to 4 years in
prison. However, a person can only be held responsible for such crime if he or
she is 16 or older.
Some Russian regions have recently passed a law allowing marriages as early as
14 years of age, but Moscow is not one of them and the couple will have to wait
till the bride is 16 to marry officially.
